Digital Marketing Executive

 

We are currently looking for a candidate that’s passionate about Digital Marketing and its importance in developing and delivering new business opportunities. The successful candidate will help devise and execute the overall digital strategy. Working closely with the Digital team, this will largely be a hands-on role.

Reporting to the Head of Digital, they will have outstanding commercial awareness, an annual Digital Marketing budget and the ability to work alongside external agencies as required.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make the switch from agency to in-house or move to the financial services industry. You will get autonomy to work towards the overall digital strategy and receive the full support of the team and management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a digital marketing resource with combined acquisition skill sets across all areas of digital including PPC, retargeting, email marketing, affiliate marketing, quality link building, social media advertising, social media campaigns and conversion optimisation
  • Perform keyword research in coordination with business objectives to optimise existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Monitor, analyse and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies
  • Manage social content and advertising campaigns over various brands, including objective setting, audience building and ad creation through to the wider journey of conversion-to-lead on site. 
  • Experience of project management methodology including document templates, identifying project phases, reporting and planning information for successful project delivery.
  • Produce on brand and effective content for both on and offline activity, inclusive of e-mail campaigns
  • Deliver campaigns on time and to a high standard
  • Improve performance through reporting & analytics

 

Essential Skills:

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has a clear understanding and hands on experience of digital marketing channels, lead generation techniques & tools including (but not limited to) PPC, SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing, Affiliates & Google Analytics
  • Understanding of customer segmentation 
  • Can manage multiple projects and deadlines with ease
  • Is highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail
  • An aptitude for making quick, quality decisions
  • Has a dynamic approach to problem solving
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Has experience working  with external agencies

 

Successful candidates are likely to have:

  • Knowledge of HTML (working with WordPress or similar)
  • A relevant degree and have at least 2 years’ experience in a digital marketing environment, especially in a strategic context.
  • Desired: Further qualifications in marketing, business or online marketing
  • Hands on experience managing PPC accounts 
  • Managed the creative process through from briefing to implementation
  • Demonstrable experience creating successful social media campaigns 
  • Experience managing websites within WordPress
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Has a passion for the internet and new technologies

 

(This role is based in Grantham, however we would consider a mix between remote and office based)
