Our client is the sole supplier of Durabase © matting, hiring and installing throughout the UK. Their delivery and mat system allows their customers to access sites no matter how wet, throughout the year. They have a wide ranging client base, in Rail & Construction and Power, Transmission and Distribution and are exceptionally strong in the utility sector, where their customers require access all year round to power grids, railway lines and energy installations.They pride themselves on innovation, Health & Safety, strong environmental credentials and providing their customers with best value for money.

Role Purpose:

· To facilitate the smooth management of individual projects from point of order acceptance until project closure.

· To manage and successfully deliver projects in line with the business expectations.

· To manage customer relationships and retain customers by meeting and exceeding expectations. 
 
 
What you'll be doing

You will have the following accountabilities:

HSEQ and Innovation (Our Bedrock)

RAMS creation and training inclusive of Permit to Work; Lift Plans; Risk Assessment and Method Statement generation.

Site surveys - generation and training

Training; development and leadership of the crews on site.

Quality care and control in line with my client and customers' expectations

HESQ management; job file creation and upkeep

Productivity and Utilisation (Cost and Service Management)

Sales and Operational Planning - Forecasting and target management

On site liaison between the customer and my client for all things net of commercial or financial negotiation.

Financial Cost Management

Business operating costs and operational overhead management

Cost management in terms of overtime and man hours

Raw Materials

Utilisation

Damage and loss management

Raw material and Inventory management

Audit and Control

British Standards achievement

Who we're looking for

You will have the following qualities and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills

 

  • Experience of leading teams, and confidence in the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets

 

  • Strong planning & organisational skills to deliver operational excellence & efficiency

 

  • Problem solving outlook

 

  • Previous experience in project management within the relevant industry is desirable

 

  • Experience of Lean principles and Lean practitioner training are desirable

 

  • Financial awareness is required to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance

 

  • CSCS

 

  • Lifting and slinging

 

  • Appointed persons

 

  • Full driving licence

 

  • SSSTS
