Job Role: Electrical Engineer (Rotary Equipment)

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, Days (40 hours per week)

The Client:

Interaction Recruitment are partnering with a well-established engineering business operating within the rotating machinery and renewable energy sectors. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to support a range of technically challenging projects.

The Role:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for rotating machinery, including upgrades and retrofits
  • Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and develop repair solutions
  • Support projects from initial design through to testing and commissioning
  • Carry out condition monitoring, diagnostics, and life assessments
  • Assist with technical proposals, tenders, and project delivery
  • Develop and review test procedures and analyse results
  • Ensure all work meets required technical, quality, and contractual standards

The Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Experience working with high-voltage rotating equipment
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic design tools (e.g. MotorCAD, COMSOL)
  • Background in engineering design and manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of motors, generators, transformers, and control systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and overseas
