Interaction Recruitment are currently supporting a global utilities and wiring distribution solutions company who are looking for a Operations Manager to joing their team on a full-time basis, starting immediately, on a PERMANENT basis.
Hours - 08:00 to 17:00
Days - Monday to Friday
The Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring value‑added activities run safely, efficiently, and to customer requirements. Leading a team of operatives, you’ll focus on service delivery, performance, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across all Value Add workstreams
- Ensure orders are delivered on time, in full, and to quality standards
- Lead, coach, motivate and develop Team Leaders and operational teams
- Manage labour, workloads, resource and productivity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Drive health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Track KPIs and deliver performance improvements
- Support new business, change, and process improvements
- Act as the primary operational contact for key customers within the Value Add portfolio.
- Proactively manage service issues, escalations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, customer SLAs, and contractual requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an Operations or Department Manager role
- Background in warehousing, logistics, or value‑added services
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
- Customer‑focused, organised, and performance‑driven
- Confident working with KPIs and operational data
- Experience managing multiple customers or workstreams simultaneously.
- Continuous improvement experience (Lean methodologies desirable).
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain audit readiness (internal, customer, and external).
- Champion a strong health, safety, and quality culture within the department.
- Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and stock control for Value Add processes.
