CNC Setter/Operator – Sliding Head Turning Centres

About the Role

Our client is a leading precision CNC production machining company seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join their growing manufacturing team. You will be working in a clean, modern workshop equipped with state‑of‑the‑art sliding head turning centres, producing high‑precision components in medium‑volume batches to meet structured production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate STAR or comparable CNC sliding head turning centres
  • Work with Fanuc controls or similar (experience preferred but not essential)
  • Maintain consistent component quality throughout production runs
  • Adhere to engineering specifications and quality standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Competent in using precision measuring equipment
  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines
  • Willingness to undertake additional training where required
  • Programming training available after a successful probation period

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
