About the Role

Our client, a well-established engineering and fabrication business based in Corby, is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to join their growing team. This hands-on leadership position involves overseeing day-to-day welding operations, maintaining high-quality output, ensuring safe working practices, and supporting an efficient workflow across the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of welders and fabricators
• Allocate work, manage priorities, and ensure production targets are met
• Conduct weld inspections and quality checks
• Support training, skill development, and performance management
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture
• Assist with planning, technical problem-solving, and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with weld procedures, documentation, and relevant standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor or Senior Welder/Fabricator
• Strong background in MIG Weelding 
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Understanding of welding codes, standards, and quality requirements
• Confident communicator with strong leadership abilities
• Solid knowledge of workshop health and safety procedures
• Welding qualifications or codings are advantageous
