The Role – KS1 Teaching Assistant

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping to boost confidence and progress.

  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with additional learning needs (SEN) where required.

  • Promote positive behaviour and ensure all children feel included and valued.

Key Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting (Key Stage 1 preferred).

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong understanding of how to support children’s learning and wellbeing.

  • Positive, patient, and proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.

  • Passionate about education and helping pupils reach their potential.
