Interaction Recruitment are looking for a dedicated and skilled Assembly Operative to join our client in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will have experience in assembly and a strong understanding of using various tools to complete assembly tasks. Machine operating experience is a plus but not essential. The role involves working as part of a team to assemble products, ensuring high-quality standards and safety practices are followed at all times.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Pay Rate: £12.30 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products efficiently and accurately using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

  • Conduct routine checks on assembly equipment and machinery to ensure proper functionality.

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

  • Follow quality control processes to ensure all products meet the required standards.

  • Report any defects or issues in materials or equipment to the Supervisor.

  • Assist with machine operation and troubleshooting when required.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Work closely with other team members to meet daily production targets.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Assembly experience with hand tools and power tools is essential.

  • Prior experience in machine operation is desired but not mandatory.

  • Ability to follow assembly instructions and technical drawings with precision.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Basic problem-solving skills to address operational issues.

  • Ability to maintain a safe and tidy work area.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Knowledge of operating basic production machinery.

  • Familiarity with quality control processes.
