Job role: Quality Inspector
Salary: £26,500-£31,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday
Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays


We are supporting a manufacturing company in Northampton, in their search for a Quality Inspector.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in a company that has operated in Northampton for many years.

The main responsibility of the Quality Inspector is to ensure that all products meet the internal and external expected standards.


Position Summary:

· Ensuring that the production is meeting the standards of the customer and the management team
· Accurately recording the results on a window based management system
. Keep records of materials and time used on jobs.
· Managing quality and process audits.
· Bring fresh ideas for continuous improvement throughout the production.
· The main of contact between the production team and the customers, providing order progress reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· 3+ years experience in production environment.
· Previous experience in quality inspection
· Strong communication skills.
· General problem-solving skills and practical aptitude.
· Ability to identify ways to improve production efficiencies.

Working closely with members of the management team, you will be involved with quality checking the produced goods, prior to them being dispatched to customers.



The responsibilities:



- Assisting with the inspection of work prior to delivery to the companies customers

- Accurately recording inspection results on a windows based management system

- Communicate discrepancies with the management team

- Ensure that all products are compliant

- Communicate with the production team and customers - any delays / progress reports



The candidate:



- You must be able to handle high temperatures - this is a hot environment

- Must be reliable

- Strong communicator

- Good computer skills

- Able to do some heavy lifting
