AFTERMARKET SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Are you an experienced Sales or Account Management professional looking for a new opportunity within a technical, equipment-based industry?

This is a customer-facing sales role with regular travel, client meetings and industry events. You will be responsible for growing revenue from both existing and new customers, whilst taking a consultative approach to understanding customer requirements and recommending the right products and services.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as approximately 50% of the role will involve travelling to customer meetings, exhibitions and other events.

The Role

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and proactive account management.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales of parts, servicing, maintenance and related products.
  • Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings, customer visits, exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.
  • Work closely with internal service and technical teams to resolve customer queries and identify further sales opportunities.
  • Promote service agreements, maintenance plans, warranties, inspections and other aftermarket solutions.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services based on their individual needs.
  • Analyse customer purchasing activity to identify opportunities for additional sales and increased account spend.
  • Research the market and identify opportunities to win new customers from competitors and new sectors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information using CRM and internal systems.
  • Support customer events, product demonstrations, exhibitions and promotional activities.
  • Monitor customer requirements throughout the lifecycle of their equipment and proactively recommend relevant products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
  • Achieve agreed sales and customer acquisition targets.

About You

  • At least 2 years' experience within a B2B or B2C sales, account management or business development role.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine desire to generate sales.
  • Confident prospecting for new business and developing existing customer accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working towards sales targets and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and professional approach.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time for client meetings, exhibitions, events and customer visits.

Desirable

Experience within the agricultural, machinery, engineering, plant or technical equipment sectors would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with a strong sales background in other industries will also be considered.
