Our Driving division works across the sector, connecting skilled drivers with hauliers, logistics operators and transport businesses across a range of vehicle categories and contracts.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Driving Recruitment Consultant to join our Milton Keynes team.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands the driving and logistics market, thrives on building relationships and wants to take ownership of a successful recruitment desk.

The Role

As a Driving Recruitment Consultant, you'll manage and develop your own client and candidate portfolio, specialising in the recruitment of drivers across temporary, contract and permanent positions.

You'll be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships and building a reliable network of high-quality driving candidates.

From speaking with Transport Managers and Fleet Operators to sourcing Class 1, Class 2 and multi-drop drivers, you'll become a trusted point of contact for clients who need the right people, at the right time.

You'll have the freedom to develop your market, backed by the infrastructure, reputation and support of an established recruitment business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with haulage, logistics and transport companies.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively grow your client portfolio.
• Source, interview and qualify drivers across your specialist market.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial vacancy through to successful placement.
• Build and maintain a strong network of reliable, licensed drivers.
• Respond quickly to urgent and high-volume driving requirements.
• Understand client operations, fleet requirements, licence categories and market conditions.
• Negotiate rates and terms with both clients and candidates.
• Maintain regular contact with placed candidates and clients to ensure strong ongoing relationships.
• Ensure all candidates meet relevant compliance, licence and right-to-work requirements.
• Work towards and exceed weekly and monthly activity and billing targets.
• Develop your knowledge of the driving and logistics market and become recognised as a specialist within your sector.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who knows that successful recruitment is built on relationships, reputation and results.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Proven recruitment experience, preferably within driving, logistics, transport or a related sector.
• A strong understanding of the driving/logistics recruitment market.
• Experience within temporary, contract or permanent recruitment.
• The confidence to speak with drivers and decision-makers at all levels.
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation abilities.
• A commercially focused and target-driven mindset.
• The resilience and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to developing new clients and opportunities.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
