MIG Welder / Fabricator – Temp to Perm

Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire
Pay: £17 per hour Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:30pm | Friday 7:30am–12:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join an established steel fabrication company in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.

The Role

You will be responsible for MIG welding and fabricating mild steel components and structures, working from engineering drawings and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• MIG welding mild steel

• Steel fabrication and assembly

• Working from engineering drawings

• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials

• Using hand and power tools

• Checking weld quality and finished work

• Working safely within a busy fabrication workshop

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous MIG welding experience

• Steel/mild steel fabrication experience

• Ability to read engineering drawings

• Good fabrication and measuring skills

• Good attention to detail

• Reliable and hardworking attitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
