HGV Mechanic

💰 £16.00 – £19.00 per hour (DOE)
🕒 Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm or Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced or aspiring HGV Mechanic to join a well-established transport company in Leighton Buzzard. This is a great opportunity offering long-term stability, overtime, and the chance to secure a permanent role.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Every other Saturday - paid at time and a third
• Overtime paid at time and a third after 40 hours

Pay:

• £16.00 – £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Enhanced overtime rates 

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs (primarily Volvo fleet)
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out inspections
• Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards

Candidate Requirements:

• Any level of HGV/mechanical experience considered
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and within a team
