CNC Setter/Operator – Sliding Head Turning Centres

About the Role

Our client is a well-established precision CNC production machining company looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join their expanding manufacturing team.

You will be working in a clean, modern workshop equipped with state-of-the-art sliding head turning centres, producing high-precision components in medium-volume production batches to meet scheduled manufacturing targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating STAR or similar CNC sliding head turning centres

  • Working with Fanuc controls or equivalent systems (preferred but not essential)

  • Ensuring consistent component quality throughout production runs

  • Working to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Competence in using precision measuring equipment

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines

  • Willingness to undertake additional training where required

  • Programming training available following successful completion of the probation period

Working Hours

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
