Interaction is an industry leading staffing support specialist who have been invited to act on behalf of our prestigious property development client with the recruitment of an experienced Credit Control Manager working from their amazing offices in Liverpool.  

We are currently taking applications from experienced Credit Control Managers to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has previously managed a credit ledger in property management, leasehold accounts, or service charge environments and is confident handling high-volume credit activity, third-party solicitor engagement, and can provide clear, timely updates to the upper management team.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Control & Debt Management

  • Manage a large portfolio of leasehold accounts, ensuring timely collection of ground rent and service charges as recoverable sums.
  • Handle high volumes of outstanding balances, disputes, and payment queries across multiple developments.
  • Issue reminder letters, final notices, and pre-legal correspondence in line with company policy.
  • Monitor aged debt, investigate discrepancies, and implement recovery strategies to reduce debtor days.

Legal & Third‑Party Liaison

  • Work closely with external solicitors to progress arrears cases.
  • Prepare and supply required documentation for legal action, including statements, ledgers, and evidence packs.
  • Track and monitor all active legal cases, ensuring internal systems are updated and deadlines met.

Internal Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular aged debt reports and recovery progress updates to management.
  • Present key case updates, and escalation recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Finance teams to resolve account queries and support decision-making.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate professionally with leaseholders and managing agents, handling queries with clarity and confidence.
  • Negotiate realistic payment arrangements where appropriate and document outcomes accurately.
  • Deliver a high standard of service that maintains positive client relationships while ensuring firm credit control.

Experience

The successful candidate need to have at least 4 years extensive credit control experience (preferably within a Leashold environment), have preferably been in a senior credit control role for at least the last two years, have property credit management experience, be proactive, organised and able to manage a fast-paced workload with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.

This role will be 100% office based with no home working option so candidates must be able to commute into the L1 area of Liverpool.
