MIG Welder / Fabricator 

Our client, a reputable structural steel company, is seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their team. This position involves working on a wide range of structural steel projects, producing high-quality welded assemblies and components for commercial and industrial builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding of structural steel beams, columns, frames and fabricated assemblies

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, steelwork details and fabrication schedules

  • Measuring, cutting and preparing steel sections for fabrication

  • Operating fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently

  • Ensuring all work meets required tolerances and industry standards

  • Working effectively to meet project deadlines and production targets

Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

  • Experience with CNC machines such as press brakes, saw lines or plasma/laser cutters

  • Ability to support the setup and operation of automated structural steel fabrication processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a MIG welder/fabricator in the structural steel sector

  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, materials and workshop processes

  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a workshop team

  • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
