The Client:

Interaction Recruitment is working with a global innovator in industrial inkjet technology to recruit a Project Engineer for their team in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing engineering projects, supporting production, and driving innovation across mechanical and electrical systems.

The Duties:

  • Manage engineering projects within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Design, develop, and integrate mechanical and electrical systems
  • Oversee the lifecycle of production and test equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative maintenance strategies
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
  • Deliver clear documentation including plans, drawings, and risk assessments

The Requirements:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proven experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on engineering and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Desirable: Proficiency in CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD), knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma, experience with automation or PLC systems, and familiarity with equipment validation and compliance standards
