The Duties:

  • Lead the development, optimisation, and support of advanced manufacturing processes
  • Drive continuous improvement across both new product introductions and existing production lines
  • Implement in-process controls to reduce variation and improve consistency
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Identify and prioritise cost-saving opportunities
  • Propose, risk-assess, implement, and validate process changes
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies

The Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in wafer-level processing, MEMS, or microfabrication technologies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, SPC, and cleanroom environments
  • Skilled in failure analysis, FMEA, and statistical tools for defect reduction
  • Familiarity with metrology tools (e.g. SEM, optical profilometry, microscopy)
  • Experience delivering robust processes for both NPI and production
  • Ability to work independently, mentor others, and influence cross-functional teams
  • Desirable: CAD for tooling design, Python/MATLAB for data analysis, Six Sigma certification, experience in semiconductor or optoelectronic device manufacturing
