Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for a Transport Night Shift Manager to smoothly run the operations for one of our major contracts based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership and transport planning experience to join a growing team and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver Route Planning: Ensure efficient and cost-effective route planning for all drivers.
Operational Oversight: Maintain smooth running of the transport operation throughout the night.
Communication: Act as the main point of contact for drivers and the client, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Problem Solving: Handle any issues that arise during the shift, ensuring minimal disruption.
On-Call Support: You will be required to carry the on-call phone during your shift.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a transport or logistics management role (preferably night shift).
Strong understanding of driver regulations and route planning.
Excellent communication and organisational skills - you will be required to speak with both the client and the drivers.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Flexibility - The role requires an hour of WFH prior to attending the depot each day to plan the runs for the drivers (1-1.5 hours per day)
