A growing construction company based in Livingston is seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a background in the construction industry to play a key role in developing new business opportunities, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector.
  • Generate, manage and follow up sales leads.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
  • Promote the company's services to public and private sector clients.
  • Work closely with estimating and operations teams to support tender opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential projects and clients.
  • Achieve agreed business development and sales targets.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or in a similar business development role.
  • Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to generate and convert sales opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.

About You

You will be a motivated and commercially focused individual with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.

Experience within construction, civil engineering, building contracting or related sectors would be a significant advantage.
