About the Client:
Our client is a well-established and reputable company within the steel fabrication/manufacturing industry, known for producing high-quality fabricated products and delivering reliable services to a wide range of customers. Due to continued growth and increasing workloads, they are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder Fabricator to join their team.

Role Overview:
The MIG Welder Fabricator will be responsible for welding, cutting, and assembling metal components to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to producing top-quality work in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MIG welding on mild steel and/or stainless steel components.

  • Fabricate and assemble metal parts from engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Operate workshop equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and fabrication tools.

  • Carry out measurements, marking, cutting, and finishing to exact tolerances.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a MIG welder fabricator in a workshop or manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.

  • Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and safety standards.

  • Experience with fabrication tools and machinery.

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently to deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • TIG welding experience (advantage, not essential).

  • Experience working on bespoke or structural steel projects.

  • Valid welding certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
