The Role

As the school’s Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, imaginative, and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

  • Support pupils’ early learning development, ensuring strong foundations in reading, writing, maths, and personal growth.

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and confident.

  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and personalise learning to meet individual needs.

  • Promote curiosity, independence, and a love of learning through creative, play-based, and hands-on activities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support the holistic development of each child.

  • Contribute to wider school life and help maintain a positive, welcoming school community.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (EYFS experience beneficial).

  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
