Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Location: Crewkerne, Somerset Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and expanding manufacturing business based in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a day-shift role within a forward-thinking and supportive organisation.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on a range of high-speed, state-of-the-art production machinery. The role involves working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure the continued efficiency and reliability of all equipment on site. In addition to maintenance duties, the position includes involvement in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules (PPMs) and participation in installation and project-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and/or mechanical maintenance on production machinery

• Diagnose and repair equipment faults to minimise downtime

• Contribute to the development and execution of preventative maintenance plans

• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health and safety standards

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven background in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Electrically biased with multi-skilled capabilities preferred

• Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND)

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
