Hours: Monday–Thursday, 07:00–15:30 | Friday, 07:00–13:00
Pay: £13.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Interaction Recruitment are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Site Maintenance Assistant to join a team based in Preston.

This is a varied role involving general building maintenance, repairs and upkeep across a factory site. We're looking for someone with practical maintenance experience who can turn their hand to a range of tasks and work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building maintenance and repairs.

• Basic joinery and plumbing work.

• Minor roofing and guttering repairs.

• Brickwork, pointing, masonry repairs and replacement of bricks.

• Building and demolishing internal walls and structures as required.

• Carrying out general groundworks around the factory.

• Repairing and replacing flooring, including timber, concrete and asphalt.

• Painting, rendering and other general building repairs.

• Sourcing and purchasing materials as required, following company procedures.

• Liaising with external contractors when specialist work is required.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in general maintenance, property maintenance, construction or a similar multi-trade role.

• Practical skills across a range of building repairs and maintenance tasks.

• A good understanding of health and safety.

• A reliable, flexible and common-sense approach to problem-solving.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What's on Offer?

• £15.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Weekly pay.

• Monday–Thursday, 07:00–15:30.

• Early finish every Friday at 13:00.

• A varied, hands-on role within an established factory environment.
