The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy depot workshop.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will ensure machines are maintained, repaired and prepared to the highest standards before being returned to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
• Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections
• Complete major repairs and component replacements
• Prepare equipment for customer delivery
• Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
• Accurately complete workshop documentation and service reports
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
• Work collaboratively within the engineering team
