About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Voids Supervisor to join a well-established and highly regarded maintenance contractor operating across the social housing sector.
The organisation works closely with local authorities and housing associations, delivering high-quality property maintenance and refurbishment services across the region.
As Voids Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of void property works, ensuring homes are returned to a high standard, on time and within budget, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, residents and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate void property refurbishment and maintenance works from start to completion.
- Manage operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Monitor programmes, productivity, quality and costs to ensure voids are delivered within agreed timescales.
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Identify and resolve issues that could impact programme or costs.
- Ensure works comply with relevant health & safety, quality and housing standards.
- Liaise with clients, housing officers, tenants and other stakeholders where required.
- Ensure properties are fully compliant and ready for handover.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
- Support the wider management team in achieving contractual KPIs and customer satisfaction targets.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience supervising voids, property refurbishment or social housing maintenance.
- Experience managing tradespeople, subcontractors and multiple properties/projects.
- A strong understanding of housing maintenance and refurbishment processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- A good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with local authorities or housing associations would be highly advantageous.
