Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire)
Salary: £44,000-£46,000 (OTE £50,000-£55,000)
Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30-17.30, (45 hours per week | 37.5 hours basic rate + 7.5 contracted overtime hours paid at 1.5x rate per week)

The Opportunity
An established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. Due to the nature of the operation, flexibility is required, with additional overtime and call-out opportunities available.

Working Hours & Flexibility
- Monday to Friday day shifts
- 37.5-hour basic working week

- Participation in call-out and weekend overtime rotas available
- Flexibility required to support operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment (Conveyors, Motors, Gearboxes)
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnosing and repairing production machinery breakdowns
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Working to maximise plant efficiency and uptime
About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a maintenance engineering role
- Background within manufacturing, production, process, food, packaging, recycling, FMCG, or similar environments
- Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent/time served
- Mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
