Production Compounder

Job Purpose

This role will initially operate during day shifts (08:30–17:00), Monday to Friday, before transitioning to night shifts (22:00–06:00) after a few months.

The primary responsibility is to accurately weigh and prepare synthetic and natural aroma chemicals, oils, and powdered substances in accordance with specified formulations. This must be carried out following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Health & Safety regulations. The Production Compounder will collaborate within a team to ensure products meet the required quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify tank and container labels against production documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Precisely weigh and compound raw materials as per formulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of equipment and work areas at all times.
  • Adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when handling raw materials.
  • Assist with combining completed batches and verify weights prior to packing.
  • Complete handover documentation for any unfinished tasks.
  • Promptly report any errors, spills, defects, or health and safety concerns.
  • Uphold high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with other departments.
  • Support stock handling, material movements, and general production duties as required.
  • Contribute to achieving production targets and maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform any additional duties necessary for daily operations.

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driving licence is essential due to the location.
  • Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills.
  • Basic IT proficiency.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Axe is advantageous.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexible approach to shift work is required.
