Shunter – London
Location: London
Pay Rate: £17.73 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter to join our team based in London. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role offering excellent working hours and a competitive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely move and position trailers and vehicles within the yard.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before movements.
- Ensure all trailers are parked in the correct locations.
- Maintain a safe and organised yard environment.
- Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to meet operational requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous shunting or HGV yard experience preferred.
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence (if required for the role).
- Good understanding of yard safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
