Administrator / Accounts Assistant (Temp to Perm)

Location: Penshurst, Kent (directly opposite the train station – excellent transport links)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Start: Immediate
Contract: Temp‑to‑Perm

We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Administrator / Accounts Assistant to join a busy and friendly fencing and pallets company based in Penshurst.

The Role

This is a varied office‑based role supporting the day‑to‑day administration and accounts function. Duties include:

  • Sending quotes, invoices and emails
  • Using Xero accounting software for invoicing and basic accounts administration
  • Speaking with clients who call in with orders (message‑taking only – no quoting required over the phone)
  • General administrative support
  • Maintaining accurate records and system updates

Requirements

  • Previous experience using Xero is essential
  • Confident using Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent telephone manner and professional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Previous admin and/or accounts experience in a similar role
