Joinery Specialist – Sunderland (SR4 6SJ)
Salary: £13–£20 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a skilled joiner with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? We’re looking for a Joinery Specialist to join a busy manufacturing team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with detail and creating bespoke, design-led pieces.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manufacturing bespoke joinery items with care and accuracy
  • Working from technical drawings to produce specialist features
  • Using workshop machinery including panel saws, chop saws, routers, and spindle moulders
  • Working with materials such as MFC, MDF, and specialist veneers
  • Taking ownership of quality, checking your work and supporting colleagues
  • Collaborating across the workshop to ensure smooth workflow and delivery
  • Supporting other departments as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing, ideally in a high-end or bespoke setting
  • Confidence using workshop machinery (panel saw, router, spindle moulder, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and initiative
  • Reliable, flexible team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience in door manufacturing is a plus

What’s in it for you:

  • Permanent, full-time role with opportunities to progress
  • Work on detailed, design-led pieces rather than volume production
  • Chance to develop skills and take on additional responsibility over time
  • Supportive, skilled team environment
  • Satisfaction in seeing your craftsmanship as part of high-quality, bespoke projects

If you enjoy working with precision, care about quality, and want to be part of a collaborative workshop team, we’d love to hear from you.
