Driver / Workshop Operative (Mechanical)
Location: Trafford, Manchester
Pay Rate: £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Overview:
We are recruiting a Driver / Workshop Operative with mechanical experience to support a busy workshop operation in Trafford, Manchester. This is a varied role combining equipment maintenance, repairs, and driving duties, making it ideal for someone hands-on and adaptable.

You will be responsible for maintaining a range of equipment while also supporting deliveries, collections, and occasional breakdown assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, and maintain a range of equipment and accessories
• Carry out all work to a high standard in line with company requirements
• Complete all job paperwork accurately from start to finish
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Use and care for company-issued tools correctly

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading company and customer vehicles
• Support external equipment breakdowns when required
• Work alongside other workshop staff for training and support

Driving Duties:

• Carry out deliveries and collections as required
• Provide cover during busy periods, holidays, and absences
• Attend external breakdowns when necessary

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Previous mechanical experience (essential)
• Hands-on, practical approach to work
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness

Breaks:

• 15 minutes (morning)
• 30 minutes (lunch)
• 15 minutes (afternoon)
