HR Advisor – Maternity Cover (Short‑Term Contract)

Minimum CIPD Level 3 | Experienced HR Professional Required

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team on a short‑term contract to cover maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional who can quickly step into a fast‑paced role and provide high‑quality HR support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support all employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance processes
  • Manage onboarding, inductions, and offboarding activities
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, and coordination of interviews
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide timely and effective HR administration across the employee lifecycle

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) – Level 5 desirable
  • Proven experience in an HR Advisor role or similar
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive issues with discretion, and manage a varied workload
  • Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Fixed‑term (Maternity Cover)

  • Hours: Full‑time (part‑time considered depending on experience)

  • Salary: £30,000 to £35,000
