Role Overview

As a Finance Clerk, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes across the business. You’ll support both routine and month-end activities and act as a dependable point of contact for finance-related queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes accurately and on time as a Finance Clerk
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as a Finance Clerk
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Maintain organised and accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Assist with month-end tasks, including journals and reconciliations
  • Respond to finance queries from internal teams and suppliers as a Finance Clerk
  • Support management with financial reports when needed
  • Follow internal controls and company procedures as a Finance Clerk
  • Handle general administrative tasks within the finance department as a Finance Clerk

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or clerical role
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Office apps
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills as a Finance Clerk
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems
  • AAT Level 2 or 3 (or currently studying)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
