Coded Welder / Fabricator – AM Shift
£33,207 – £35,350 per annum DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing and ambitious engineering manufacturer based in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Coded Welder / Fabricator to join a forward-thinking production team operating at the forefront of its industry.

Working Hours

37½ hours per week:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

The Role

Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, you will join a skilled Welding team, carrying out high-quality fabrication and coded welding activities within a structured manufacturing environment.

You will be fully supported in your role and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out fabrication and welding duties as directed by the Welding Supervisor
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (primarily Third Angle Projection)
  • Ensuring strict adherence to company procedures and Health & Safety policies
  • Participating in quality control processes and reporting defects immediately
  • Conducting MPI and Dye Pen inspections where required
  • Completing administrative tasks, including booking jobs via EPICOR MRP and recording Welder Qualification information
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and demonstrating 5S practices
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards

Requirements

  • Certified / coded welder
  • Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Computer literacy
