Business Development Manager – Catering Supplies

Location: Leeds, LS27 (Field Based – Yorkshire & Surrounding Areas)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 Basic + Approx. £8,000 OTE Commission

Are you an ambitious, relationship‑driven sales professional with experience in catering supplies, food packaging, or related product-based sales? Do you thrive in a full 360° sales role, generating your own leads and managing your own accounts? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across the hospitality and foodservice sectors. You will be selling a range of catering consumables, including:

  • Food packaging
  • Disposable cutlery
  • Food bags
  • Catering supplies and accessories

Your customer base will include:

  • Hospitality businesses (restaurants, cafés, bars)
  • Schools and education settings
  • Care homes
  • Festivals and events
  • Contract caterers
  • Leisure and entertainment venues

This is a proactive, new business hunter role with significant autonomy across the Yorkshire region and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively cold calling to generate new business opportunities
  • Booking and attending your own appointments
  • Managing your own pipeline and customer portfolio
  • Full account management and relationship development
  • Maintaining accurate records in the CRM system
  • Providing tailored catering supply solutions across multiple sectors
  • Field‑based role covering Yorkshire and surrounding regions

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience within catering supplies or similar product‑driven sectors such as:
    • Food packaging
    • Office supplies
    • Cleaning products/services
    • Catering equipment
    • Facilities services
  • Proven track record in field sales and new business development
  • Confident communicator with a consultative sales approach
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage your own diary independently
