MIG Welder / Fabricator – Structural Steel

Role Overview

A leading name in structural steel fabrication is seeking an accomplished MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their expanding operation. This company delivers precision‑engineered solutions across commercial and industrial sectors and is looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in producing first‑class workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high‑quality MIG welding on structural steel components
• Interpret and work from detailed fabrication and engineering drawings
• Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare steel using a variety of fabrication machinery
• Maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Work efficiently both independently and within a team to achieve project deadlines

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience in MIG welding and structural steel fabrication
• Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Competent with fabrication tools and equipment, including grinders, saws, and drills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding workmanship
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) advantageous
• CSCS card beneficial but not essential
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment
