CNC/Manual Grinder – Precision Motorsport Engineering

£38,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled CNC/Manual Grinder to join their expert team.


Role Overview

This is a hands-on role ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in both manual and CNC grinding. You will be responsible for producing low-volume, high-precision components using a variety of grinding machinery and techniques.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate manual grinding machines (Myford, Shipman, Jones) with abrasive wheels.
  • Program, set, and operate CNC grinding machines for small-diameter journal components.
  • Work to tight tolerances in a low-volume production environment.
  • Accurately interpret and work from technical engineering drawings.
  • Use MRP systems to manage workflow and production tracking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high-performance, team-oriented culture.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in manual grinding and CNC grinding (essential).
  • Strong understanding of grinding processes and wheel specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and working on small batch production.
  • Previous experience in motorsport or precision engineering is highly advantageous.
