Job Title: HSE Advisor
Location: Kettering
Salary: up to £55,000, doe
Term: 12-month fixed term contract
I am looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join my client on a 12-month fixed term contract.
The purpose of the role is to support the HSE Manager in delivering world-class Health, Safety, Environmental, Energy and Sustainability performance across the site, ensuring legal compliance, continuous improvement, employee engagement and alignment with the client’s standards.
As there are high accountabilities with this role, and delivery KPI’s is critical, they are looking for the following qualifications in any candidate they would consider:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational H&S or equivalent (Essential)
- NEBOSH/IEMA Environmental Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (Desirable)
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor (Desirable)
- Train the Trainer qualification (Desirable)
- As well as the above, you must have proven experience in a Manufacturing environment, Health & Safety management systems., Environmental compliance and permitting, Accident investigation and root cause analysis, Behavioural safety programmes, Audit and inspection processes.
The key accountabilities, deliverables and KPI’s are outlined below:
- Lead delivery of key projects.
- Help maintain ISO 14001 management systems and legal compliance registers.
- Support environmental permitting, waste, energy and sustainability compliance requirements.
- Conduct audits, inspections and workplace assessments.
- Develop risk assessments, safe systems of work and operational procedures.
- Lead and support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Coordinate HSE communications, campaigns and behavioural safety programs.
- Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness initiatives.
- Monitor KPI performance and prepare management reports.
- Support sustainability, carbon, water, waste and energy reduction initiatives.
The KPI measures are indicated below and will be monitored:
- Accident reduction.
- Near miss and hazard reporting rates.
- Audit compliance scores.
- Training completion rates.
- Corrective action closure rates.
- Environmental compliance performance.
- Energy, waste and water reduction targets.
They are looking for someone who has the below technical skills to fulfil the role :
Technical Skills:
- Risk assessment and hazard identification.
- Incident investigation techniques.
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
- Environmental legislation knowledge.
- Data analysis and KPI reporting.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Training delivery and coaching.
