Sawman – 3 Week Contract

We are currently recruiting for a Sawman to work for an established engineering company on a 3-week temporary contract.

This is a hands-on role within an engineering environment, involving the cutting and preparation of materials to the required specifications.

Job Details

• Contract: 3 weeks
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm 😊
• Pay: £12.71 per hour
• Equivalent annual salary: £23,793.12

Duties

• Operating saws safely and efficiently
• Cutting materials accurately to required measurements
• Measuring materials and following cutting lists/specifications
• Loading and handling materials
• Checking the quality of finished cuts
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
• Following health and safety procedures
• Working as part of the engineering/production team

Requirements

Previous experience operating saws or working within an engineering/manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Candidates should be reliable, practical, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a hands-on role.

Please note: This is a temporary position for 3 weeks only.
