Job Title: Machine/production Operative

Location: Yate

Pay: £ 26,006.24

Shift: Mon to Thurs – 14:00 to 22:00, Frid - 14:00 to 19:00

Are you looking for a dynamic role in a fast-paced warehouse environment? We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operative to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stack pallets with boxes from the packing belt, ensuring product consistency and safe stacking.
  • Check the quality of boxes on full pallets and apply correct wrapping to secure products for safe transportation.
  • Verify and attach accurate pallet labels, double-checking the work of colleagues to maintain accuracy.
  • Operate Powered Pallet Truck (PPT), hand pallet truck, hand scanners, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor metal detection systems for malfunctions, including completing near-miss forms if issues are observed.
  • Supply the Packing Desk area with new pallets to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to support the effective running of the Packing Desk.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy Packing Desk area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate pallet trucks and scanners safely.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
