We are a well-established, family-run manufacturing company based in Barnsley, and due to continued growth we are looking to expand our busy production team with the addition of a Fibreglass Laminator.

This opportunity is open to both experienced laminators and motivated individuals looking to start a career in fibreglass manufacturing. Experienced candidates will have a background of working with resins and fibreglass however if you have experience working with power tools, grinders, sanders, and other hand tools, we would be keen to hear from you as full training can be provided for the right candidate.

The Role

Working within our production team, you will be involved in the manufacture and finishing of high-quality fibreglass products ranging in size from 6 cubic metres to 100+ cubic metres. Duties may include:

  • Fibreglass laminating and mould preparation
  • Trimming, grinding, and sanding finished products
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Quality checking finished components
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working as part of a busy and supportive production team

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Good practical skills and a hands-on approach
  • Experience using power tools, grinders, sanders, or similar equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Previous fibreglass laminating experience
  • General Labouring including trimming/lifting/splicing
  • Mould preparation
  • Release of simple moulds
  • Use of hand tools
  • Use of hand-held power tools such as grinders and sanders
  • Bond preparation
