7.5 Tonne Driver – Temp to Perm

Location: Accrington
Salary: £36,067.20 per annum
Hours: Average 48 hours per week
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Accrington on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV driver looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent role.       

The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• Completing local and regional deliveries.
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company procedures.
• Working safely and in line with all relevant transport legislation.

The Candidate

We are looking for drivers who have:

• A valid Category C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence.
• A valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
• A good knowledge of UK roads.
• A professional and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
