About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Automated Gate Engineer to join their expanding team based in Royston. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of automated gate systems.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, delivering a high standard of workmanship while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair automated gate systems.

• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.

• Work on a range of gate automation equipment, including swing and sliding gate systems.

• Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations.

• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.

• Provide professional and courteous customer service while on site.

• Liaise with the office team regarding job progress and any additional works required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automated Gate Engineer is essential.

• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

• Experience working with gate automation systems and access control equipment.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• A proactive and reliable approach to work.
