Mechanical Fitter 

Our Client is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of industries and are looking for a skilled individual who takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail.

The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery

• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Conduct inspections and testing of equipment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and customers to deliver successful outcomes

• Maintain a clean and organised working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar engineering role

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential – amend as required)

• Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeships are advantageous
