Workshop Operative 

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to perm 
Salary: £23,000–£28,000 per year (DOE)

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Workshop Operative / Workshop Support Technician to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our workshop, supporting logistics, stock control, and the final stages of product manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Manage Goods In/Out, ensuring accurate documentation and coordination with shipping providers.
  • Pack finished products securely and in line with established procedures.
  • Carry out regular and ad-hoc stock checks, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organised inventory.
  • Keep the workshop and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
  • A valid forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Production Support

  • Assist Finishing and Assembly teams by preparing components, moving materials, and supporting basic assembly tasks.
  • Follow all company processes and contribute to compliance with the ISO9001 management system.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently once trained.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials.
  • Valid driving licence (essential).
  • Experience with ISO9001 is beneficial but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: Early finish at 1:30pm
