Are you ready for a fresh start and a new challenge? We’re looking for a skilled Plant Fitter / Plant Engineer to join a busy, growing engineering team based in Haydock.

This is a varied role combining workshop-based engineering with mobile breakdown cover when field service engineers are on annual leave—perfect if you enjoy both hands-on workshop work and on-site problem solving.

The Role

As a Plant Fitter, you’ll be responsible for keeping a wide range of construction plant operating at peak performance, including:

• Servicing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, carrying out PDIs, and completing damage repairs to a high standard

• Attending breakdowns and carrying out on-site repairs when required

• Routine servicing of equipment such as diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, excavators, rollers, and more

• Completing all administration accurately and on time, including PDA reports and photographic damage records

About You

You’ll be a proactive engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards and being a valued team player. Ideally, you’ll have experience working with heavy plant and hire equipment such as dumpers, rollers, and excavators.

Experience with manufacturers such as:

• JCB

• CAT

• Komatsu

• Liebherr

• Bomag

• Terex

(or similar brands) would be highly advantageous.
