Refuse loader – Tavistock

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM until finish (approx. 8‑hour shifts)
Days: Monday to Friday
Start: Immediate starts available

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Refuse Loaders to join a busy team in Tavistock. This is a physically demanding role involving the collection of household waste and recycling in all weather conditions. You’ll be working as part of a friendly, hard‑working crew to ensure the smooth running of daily collection routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading waste and recycling bins onto collection vehicles
• Working efficiently as part of a team
• Walking long distances and handling repetitive lifting
• Ensuring safe working practices at all times
• Supporting drivers with route completion

Requirements

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping
• A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Safety‑conscious and able to follow instructions
