Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our growing precision engineering team. You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high‑quality components for a range of industries. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and optimise CNC milling programs using [Fanuc / Heidenhain / Siemens / 
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components to engineering drawings
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
  • Perform first-off inspections and maintain tight tolerances
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes for efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller and strong programming capability
  • Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
  • Competent in using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with 4‑axis or 5‑axis milling
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
  • Background in low‑volume/high‑precision industries 
  • Continuous improvement mindset (LEAN, 5S, etc.)
