Job Role: Maintenance Engineer (Days only)
 Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
 Salary: £37,000–£45,000pa
 Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hours per week)
 Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The Client:
 Interaction Recruitment are proud to partner with a leading recycling facility based in Northampton. Operating in a clean, modern environment, this company specialises in sustainable waste management using advanced machinery including control panels, conveyors, extruders, balers, and compactors. Due to continued investment and growth, we are now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Package:
 • £37,000–£45,000pa depending on experience

The Responsibilities:
 • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of recycling machinery
 • Fault finding and repairs on control panels, conveyors, extruders, balers, and compactors
 • Work from electrical and mechanical schematics
 • Minimise downtime and ensure smooth operation of production equipment
 • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability
The Requirements:
 • Previous experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and/or mechanical)
 • Strong fault-finding skills and ability to read schematics
 • Experience working with automated machinery or within recycling/manufacturing environments
 • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical discipline
 • Team player with a proactive and safety-conscious approach
